We’re a chef‑run catering company based in Yorkshire, working UK‑wide. Our focus is simple: keep people fuelled and happy with great food, served by a team who genuinely care.

Our Story

Funky Fridays is the trading name of Primrose Weddings and Events Ltd, founded and run by chefs who wanted to bring a modern, creative edge to crew and event catering. Over the years, we’ve become known for fresh, ever‑changing menus, clear dietary care, and a friendly, fast team that integrates seamlessly into productions and events.

We’ve fed film crews on location in Durham and Alnwick, powered live TV shows in arenas, kept festival artists and crews smiling, and run public restaurants for thousands of hungry visitors.

How We Work

  2. Cook — fresh, seasonal food with all diets covered.

  3. Serve — fast, friendly service that fits around your schedule.

  4. Report — daily headcounts, feedback, waste reduction.

Dietaries & Allergens
We cover gluten‑free, dairy‑free, vegan, veggie, halal and more. All clearly labelled, briefed to staff, and prepared with cross‑contamination controls.

Sustainability
We use local suppliers where possible, seasonal menus, and compostable or recyclable disposables to suit each site’s rules.

Meet the Team

We’re a diverse crew of chefs, front‑of‑house staff, and logistics pros. What unites us is a shared love of good food and looking after people. Many of our team have backgrounds in restaurants, hospitality, and festivals — we thrive on the challenge of big days and long runs.
