Common questions about booking with us

Planning & Booking

Most couples book 12–18 months ahead, especially for summer Saturdays which fill quickly. We'd recommend getting in touch as soon as your venue is confirmed. That said, we do occasionally have last-minute availability — it's always worth asking.
Yes. We're a fully mobile catering operation and bring everything we need — cooking equipment, service stations, crockery and staff. We've worked at barns, country estates, marquees, festival fields and hotel gardens across Yorkshire. If your venue is outside Yorkshire, get in touch and we can discuss travel costs.
For larger events and new venues, yes — we'll arrange a visit to walk the space, understand logistics (power, access, kitchen facilities) and make sure the day runs without a hitch. For venues we know well, a phone call or email is usually sufficient.
We take a 25% deposit to secure your date, with the balance due 4 weeks before your event. We accept bank transfer. All payment terms are clearly detailed in your contract — no hidden fees.
Yes. We hold full public liability insurance and have a 5-star food hygiene rating from Harrogate Borough Council. Copies of both are available on request.

Food & Menus

Absolutely. Many couples have canapés on arrival, a sharing feast for the wedding breakfast, and a late-night street food station. We'll build whatever works best for your day and guest numbers.
Absolutely. Every menu can be adapted. We provide clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options as standard — proper dishes, not afterthoughts. Gluten-free alternatives are always available on request, and we provide full allergen information for every dish. Just tell us about your guests when you enquire.
Yes — everything is cooked fresh on the day of your event. Our bread is baked fresh the same morning, our butcher is four miles from Harrogate, and we source produce from local Yorkshire suppliers. Nothing arrives pre-made in a van.
Yes. Tasting sessions are available once a date is confirmed and a deposit is paid. They're a great way to finalise your menu choices and are available for our three-course and sharing feast options.
Yes. We can provide bar staff and drinks packages — from a Yorkshire gin and craft ale bar to cocktail and mocktail service. Let us know what you have in mind when you enquire and we'll price it up.

Logistics & Practicalities

Our quotes include:
  • All food, prepared fresh on the day
  • Serving staff (approx. 1 per 25 guests)
  • Crockery, cutlery and glassware
  • Serving dishes, boards and equipment
  • Food service tables
  • Post-event clean-up of the catering area
We provide a full line-by-line breakdown so there are no surprises on the day.
We regularly cater for 50–500 guests. For very large events above 500, get in touch and we'll talk through what's involved.
We're Yorkshire caterers — we plan for all weathers. Our cooking equipment is weatherproof and we always have contingency plans in place for outdoor events. We'll talk through your specific setup and make sure you're covered regardless of what the forecast brings.
For most events we're entirely self-sufficient — our outdoor and BBQ setups run on gas and require no mains power. For three-course dinners and larger indoor events, access to a kitchen or prep area is helpful. We'll discuss your venue's facilities when we quote and make sure the plan works.
We ask for final guest numbers no later than 2 weeks before your event so we can order produce and plan staffing accurately. We understand numbers fluctuate — small changes after that point are usually manageable.
"The food at our wedding was genuinely exceptional. Every single guest commented on how good it was — from the arrival canapés right through to the cheese board."
